Daphne – the original superdogel is back

If you think this month’s cover girl looks familiar, then you’re right. Because with this auspicious lunar year being the Year of the Dog, we thought it only appropriate to bring back the girl that started it all. It’s been a while (three and a half years now since Daphne’s first cover) but she was, and always will be, the world’s first superdogel.

Superdogel - Daphne "The world's first Superdogel"

The first Superdogel Australia cover, September 2014

A regular on the dog blog scene since since Superdogel Australia started, Daphne contributes a regular column about her favourite dogs on Instagram ‘Instadogels’. She offers sound advice via our dog blog column aptly named Dog Blogs. And it’s her easy going attitude and high spirits within the office that makes everyone who comes into contact with her smile.

It’s also this easy-going attitude that allows her to handle anything that comes her way. A couple of years ago she had two major eye operations that would have made the toughest of dogs quiver with fear.

Daphne superdogelAnd though she ended up eventually losing sight in one eye, this hasn’t stopped her one bit. At seven and a half now, people still mistake her energy for that of being a young pup.

A lover of all things social media, Daphne has many friends across the seas. Still, it’s her home life that she savours the most. Everyday, is a great day, and she’s never once woken up in a bad mood.

Daphne embodies the superdogel spirit, of that being ‘Every dog is beautiful’.
